Class Five: A poem- I wanted to Do

I Wanted to Do
-Richard Le Gallienne

I meant to do my work today-
But a brown bird sang in the apple-tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.

And the wind sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand-
So what could I do but laugh and go?

Class Three: A poem- My Mother

My Mother

I know a face,
A lovely face
So full of beauty,
As of grace.

That face can be
Compared to no other
That lovely lady
Is my beloved mother.

Class Three: Poem- Homes

Homes

A bird lives in a nest,
A snake in a hole.
We live in a house,
A goldfish in a bowl.

Class Three A poem: Cocks crow

Cocks crow

Cocks crow in the morn
To tell us to rise,
And he who lies late
Will never be wise.

For early to bed
And early to rise,
Is the way to be healthy
And wealthy and wise.
